Beethoven - Symphony No. 6 "Pastoral", Movement 1 (Kingdom Hearts Soundfont)

Описание: As requested by Grovyle, I'll be covering Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 with the Kingdom Hearts soundfont, a new one for the channel.

Beethoven's Sixth Symphony, popularly known as the "Pastoral Symphony", is a very approachable and unique work, being the only one of his symphonies to have explicitly programmatic content. In other words, instead of being absolute music to which we are completely free to give our own interpretations, this symphony's music is meant to evoke specific moods associated with the countryside.

Each of the movements' respective titles gives us a big hint of what Beethoven was trying to convey.
The opening movement is titled "Awakening of cheerful feelings on arrival in the countryside". As Beethoven's biographers frequently note, Beethoven had a strong appreciation of nature and loved to simply walk around the countryside; it allowed him to escape the many pressures of city life and his own growing deafness, an amiable escape from reality.
These pleasant feelings are wonderfully and uncannily conveyed in this music and I think describing them in detail would remove much of its effect. Just as in the second movement, I'd say that just listening and letting Beethoven take the reins should be enough.
