This was was the third level to celebrate the Chinese/Lunar New Year, released in 2023, which corresponds to the year of the rabbit in the Chinese zodiac (or the cat in the Vietnamese zodiac). This was also the second level released since Minimax took over Rolling Sky from Cheetah Mobile, after Goblin Town. Indeed, this level did not disappoint - it was a signal to me at the time that the game was truly back.

In terms of gameplay, AJR didn't really introduce anything new - the only thing it introduced was a button that shoots fireworks if you land on it, and it didn't have much of a significant purpose until the next update, where activating all 10 buttons will now trigger a different ending. Where AJR shines is how it utilizes gameplay mechanics to create an interesting experience - for example, diamond 8 is an obstacle dodge using the Super Jump, which wasn't something often explored in levels before it, or crown 1 that has a rather ingenious path that is often overlooked due to the player being naturally inclined to use the jump pad, or the breaking sawblade being used as a setup for a 3x1 swipe. These concepts aren't foreign and inconceivable by any means, but finally seeing them will no doubt open up interesting avenues of gameplay. On the whole, every part of AJR flows together very nicely, creating what I find to be a very fun 6-star level, and perhaps the only one that I genuinely enjoy.

Of course, another factor that played into the level's enjoyability is the song, and I don't think a better song could've been picked - Firecrackers 2 by F-777 is an objective banger, with lively and powerful beats that help reinforce the gameplay (and perhaps somewhat justifies its difficulty). 55-77% is definitely the climax of the song, and I seriously cannot emphasize how satisfying it sounds. The gameplay definitely matches the tone here too, creating an intense but thrilling experience.

Overall, a very amazing level, if not one of the best. Last but not least: Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year to everyone who celebrates it.
