We spoke with Malou, one of the finalists in the German national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. And here’s a fun fact: she grew up close to the Dutch border – so Enschede doesn’t feel far from home at all.
Malou – known for winning The Voice of Germany – opened up about her journey to the national final.
🇳🇱 Enschede & the Songwriting Camp
Because she grew up near the border, she has always felt a connection to the Netherlands. During the songwriting camp, she was able to fully focus on making music. Spending days writing, experimenting, and collaborating with other songwriters helped her discover new sides of herself as an artist.
According to Malou, that period was incredibly inspiring – stepping away from her daily routine and diving deep into creativity.
When it comes to the staging of her performance, she kept some secrets – but one thing is clear: it will be personal and intimate.
