If we continue to wait for meaningful change at the national and state levels, agendas get hijacked and politics takes over. Experts will debate while communities wait. That’s why real, lasting change must start locally—inside our own school communities.

In this video Dr. Farkas discusses how to handle the May checkpoint which requires leaders to finish strong and how to use the summer months to prepare for the next school year.

Finding Common Ground in Education believes the foundation of any successful district starts with a shared plan where all stakeholders are involved in the process.

We also believe in a yearly planning cycle which is broken down into 3 month checkpoints (February, May, August, and November). In each of these checkpoints, we spend time in reflection (reviewing the last 3 months) and preparation (planning for the next 3 months).
