This was our first camping experience in a Campervan, and we chose the Uretiti DOC Campsite for the first night. Bookings were essential and although this does not offer any powered sites, there was a nominal fees applicable per person.

Adult (18+ years): $15 per night
Child (5 - 17 years): $7.50 per night
Infant (0 - 4 years): free

Bookings are for the number of people in your party – there are no designated sites. Find space wherever you like on arrival.

The facilities comes with Hot showers that are $2 coin-operated; Shelter for cooking; Non-flush Toilet (This is ok but not for the faint hearted!); Recycling (no dump stations or water stations available for campervans though), Camp office hours are 8:30 am – 9:00 pm; Contact Uretiti campsite on +64 9 432 1051; Camp gates and barrier arms are locked from 9:00 pm – 7:00 am; Camp hosts are on-site all year.

Uretiti Beach Campsite - Located in Waipu area in the Northland region.
This is a scenic campsite in the Whangārei area. Camp behind the sand dunes of Uretiti Beach, a sandy surf beach.

The Northland is a forested, subtropical region on New Zealand's North Island, framed by the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea.
