How To Score Under Pressure | Soccer Finishing Drill

⚽ The purpose of this drill is to master scoring in a 1v1 vs the goalkeeper when under pressure from a defender coming from behind

🔑 The keys to scoring under pressure are using your body to cut off the defender, staying ahead of them, keeping the ball close enough so the keeper cannot collect it, keeping your head up to choose an opening in the goal, and calmly finishing to score past the keeper

1️⃣ Two players, one striker one defender, start about 10 yards behind the top of the 18-yard box
2️⃣ The striker starts on their feet, while the defender is laying down on their chest
3️⃣ A through ball is played between them, at which point the play is live. The forward has a head start, as the defender has to stand up.
4️⃣ The forward looks to dribble to goal and score past the keeper, while the defender looks to disrupt the shot and ideally get in front of the forward

📈 Practice this drill as frequently as needed to master! For forwards, mastering how to score in soccer while under pressure is a must.
