How To Turn & Score | Soccer Shooting Drill

⚽ The purpose of this drill is to master turning with one-touch and scoring on goal

🔑 The keys to an effective turn and finish are a sharp one-touch turn that takes the forward into space away from their defender, and then a well-placed shot with the second touch to beat the goalkeeper. This must be executed quickly in order to beat the defender that in a match will be behind the forward, looking to stop them from turning.

1️⃣ One player starts with their back to goal, and receives a pass
2️⃣ With their first touch, they take a sharp touch in either direction that is angled to the side and slightly behind them
3️⃣ They turn to follow the pass while picking which side of the goal to aim for
4️⃣ As they reach the ball, they shoot with their second touch to beat the goalkeeper and score

📈 Practice this drill as frequently as needed, it is a great skill for forwards to master. Once players are proficient, a defender can be added who will be behind them and try to stop the turn and shot.
