Though this world abounds in falsehood, the Church of the living God is “a pillar and buttress of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15). God has made His people a “city on a hill” and “the light of the world” and we shine the light of Christ most brightly when we are firmly fixed on the foundation of God’s Holy Word.

When the Church has an uncompromising commitment to the truth of God’s Word, (1) we remain focused on good stewardship of the Gospel; (2) we continue to expect God’s people to be, live, and believe the way a follower of Christ should; and, (3) we do our part to ensure that God’s people will not depart into false teaching.
