Grains Bar is on the outskirts of Oldham with a convenient free car park off Ship Lane. It's a popular area for local walks. Besom Country Park is particularly prominent with it's majestic steel cross on top of Besom Hill with views of four counties. Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire. A good place to start our ascent up to Bishops Monument and then beyond.
