How this gem of a rail trail didn’t become part of the Great American Rail Trail I’ll never know, but it should figure into the plans of anyone crossing the country by bike. We revel in the beautiful American farmlands and the rich deciduous forests, starting in Windsor where the Rock Island Trail joins the Katy, crossing overland through heat and rainstorms, and enjoying an evening in Sedalia before reaching Boonville on the Missouri River.
