Описание: ELDRUNA – Greenland Is Ours — A musical tribute to the Norse settlement of Greenland and the legacy of the Viking explorers who forged a presence in the Arctic.

In the late 10th century, the Norwegian-born Norse chieftain Erik the Red led a fleet west from Iceland and established the first permanent Viking colonies on the island now known as Greenland. Exiled from Iceland, Erik spent years exploring the rugged southwest coast, naming the land Grœnland to attract settlers with visions of fjords, grazing valleys, and a new beginning far from crowded isles.

By around 985 AD, Erik and his followers had built thriving settlements along the fjords, where hardy farmers, hunters, and traders made lives in isolation under harsh Arctic conditions. These Norse communities endured for centuries, linked to Iceland and Norway through trade, culture, and maritime skill.

The Norse Greenlanders left a lasting imprint on history — their voyages opened pathways across the North Atlantic, and their presence shaped the narrative of Viking exploration long before later European expansions.
