Ambuluwawa tower 🇱🇰
Ambuluwawa tower is a multi religious, bio diversity complex in Gampola and a must visit if you come to Kandy. The tower is built on top of ambuluwawa mountain peak which is 3567ft above sea level and the tower itself stands to a height of 48 meters. While getting to the top, spectacular 360° view of the area can be viewed and making things bit thrilling, the stairs gets narrow while moving up until it reaches a point where you can not climb any further. If you can visit on weekdays, the tower can be climbed easily due to less crowd.
Bahirawakanda Temple, Kandy 🇱🇰 🙏🌿
Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya is located on top of the hill of Bahirawakanda and the giant buddha statue of the temple is one of the tallest buddha statues in Sri lanka which is well known to tourists. Visitors can walk to the top of the temple through a flight of stairs, where visitors can see a magnificent view of the famous city of Kandy. Please be mindful to respect the rules of the temple when visiting and remember to cover your legs and shoulders and to remove head wear and shoes.
