A suspect is in custody after an unknown number of students were injured in a shooting at Florida State University Thursday afternoon, an official told The Associated Press.
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare was receiving and treating people affected by the shooting, Sarah Cannon, a hospital spokesperson, said. She said the hospital cannot yet confirm the number of people in care as details are still unfolding.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a social media post that the Justice Department is in touch with FBI agents who are on the scene.
