Five Years of Service: How READIO Reached more than 61,000 Lives with Local Resources

Описание: For the past five years, we have walked into places where hope was fading — mountains, islands, flood zones, landslide sites, and remote rural villages.


With empty pockets but full hearts, our volunteers carried only one mission:

Bridging the gap. Saving lives. Empowering communities.

From Abela Abaya to Gofa, from Wolaita to Dasenech, from Sidama to many underserved corners of Ethiopia — READIO Ethiopia has now reached 61,566+ mothers, children, youth, and people with disabilities, all through local resource mobilization, volunteer sacrifice, and the grace of God.

We have delivered:
• Ultrasound-based ANC, cervical cancer screening & maternal care
• Malnutrition screening & treatment linkages
• Emergency response in floods & landslides
• Mental health and psychosocial support
• WASH, hygiene & nutrition education for 19,000+ people
• Capacity-building for local health extension workers
• Tree-planting & land preservation initiatives
• Community empowerment, youth engagement & holistic development

We treat not just a patient — we support the family, rebuild the home, plant trees, restore dignity, and strengthen the community.
This is the heart of READIO.

Today, as we stand on this global platform, I am proud to represent Ethiopia and every volunteer who walked with me.
We came this far with no external funding, only faith, courage, and a shared dream for equity in healthcare.
