Описание: This video focuses on the geology and formation of the rock columns at the black-sand beach of Reynisfjara and on the enormous floods generated during eruptions in the volcano Katla. The floods occur mainly on the sandur plains of Mýrdalssandur and gradually destroyed the settlements that were there initially. Also described briefly are the hyaloclastite mountains of Pétursey, Dyrhólaey, Hafursey, and Hjörleifshöfði.
