Becoming Beth March: 1865 Day Dress Little Women Collab

Описание: I had such a wonderful time diving back into one of my favorite stories, Little Women, to design a dress for one of my favorite characters in literature, Beth March. I remember listening so intently to the radio drama of Little Women that my Godmother gave me in 2nd grade and identifying so strongly with Beth March. She does not get as much attention as the other sisters, so it has been nice to shine a light on her during this process.

In this collab we decided to make dresses for the adult version of the "Little Women" as they would have appeared in part 2 of the novel "Good Wives." We choose the date 1867 to center around, but as I did not believe that Beth would have had a new dress made in 1867, I choose to make her dress more in line with the style of 1865, the date for the 1st chapter of part 2, with the idea that she would have still been wearing the dress in 1867.
