Location: Former Seven-Up Bottling Company, East 18th Street, Bakersfield, CA
The Bakersfield Fire Department and Kern County Fire Department responded to a reinforced commercial structure fire at the former Seven-Up Bottling Company on East 18th Street. Responding crews arrived to find heavy flames and smoke coming through the roof of the building.
Due to the intensity of the blaze and a partial roof collapse, the incident was escalated to a Second Alarm Fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
