Описание: Taiwan is one of the best birding and hiking destinations in the world but could we find 100 different bird species in just 13 days without really trying?

In this video we attempt a 100 Bird Challenge, traveling around the entire island of Taiwan by motorcycle in search of birds, landscapes, and adventure. Starting in Kaohsiung, we ride south to Kenting National Park, then follow Taiwan’s east coast through the East Rift Valley, Hualien, and the Yilan Plain.

Along the way we explore ancient forests like the giant trees of Jianshi, hike mountain trails in Guguan, and climb into the high elevations of Alishan.

Taiwan is home to endemic birds, subtropical forests, and incredible biodiversity, making it a great destination for birders, non-birders, wildlife lovers, hikers, and travelers.

But could we reach our goal of finding 100 different species of birds in Taiwan without actually going out of our way?
