Press Ups for All Levels!
The press up 💪 is a great bodyweight exercise to improve the strength of your upper body horizontal pushing muscles ➡️ (so your pecs and triceps mostly).
However, if you are unable to do a regular press up on the floor, you may struggle to know where to start 🤔.
These five press up variants will take you from beginner to expert 🥳 without compromising your shoulder health.
Start with the variant you can do 5-10 repetitions with, and perform three sets 2-3 times per week. After a few weeks, try adding a set or two of a harder variation until you can complete three sets.
