From June 23–27, AWAACC welcomed young creatives for a powerful week of beat-making, DJing, songwriting, and performance during our annual Hip-Hop Music Camp. In partnership with Propel School for Fine Arts, students worked directly with industry professionals Ryan Matthews, Emmanuel DeAnda, and Squonk, gaining hands-on experience in producing original tracks, recording vocals, and developing stage presence.
Campers explored the foundations of hip-hop music and culture, learned how to use professional studio equipment, and collaborated with their peers to create original compositions. The week concluded with a live showcase, giving participants the chance to share their work onstage inside AWAACC.
A huge shoutout to these rising creators — your voices, your talent, and your stories are the future of hip-hop.
