We spent the weekend in Kiruna, northern Sweden!

Описание: We had a great weekend in Kiruna, in the far north of Sweden! We were hoping to see the Northern Lights (spoiler: we didn't) and get some snow. I've not really been in real snow before and got stupidly excited by it! I wish we'd had more time there, but all the more reasons to come back to Sweden soon!

Travel tips if you don't have a car: Kiruna is split into two towns, the old town (where we stayed), and the new town (with all the flash buildings). The town is dominated by the mine, and it's because of the mine that the town is slowly moving over to the new area. This makes it a bit awkward to get around without a car, but there was a bus that went in and back a few times a day, so with a bit of patience and planning it's perfectly fine to be there without your own transport.

There's an airport bus to town that meets each plane, and a free bus from town out to the train station, which is quite far from the new town.
