I try to get out, but they just keep pulling me back in. Well, here's the last video for Street Fighter The Movie, so let's finally end this game. The Commentator requested this game, and so I thought I might as well try an Akuma playthrough, what with Akuma having rightfully been made a hidden character and boss again.

This game is surprisingly good. As it was developed in-house by Capcom, it as a result plays like a regular Street Fighter game. It's extremely competent and a hell of a lot of fun, not having the delibitating heaviness to the characters prominent in Strata's arcade version of the game, and plays significantly better, all in all actually being quite an enjoyable experience.

Akuma is the sole hidden character in the game. It's possible to fight Shin Akuma as a hidden boss (you can tell it's Shin Akuma as he has those dual fireballs of his), but hacking him is going to be a long-way off. Graphically-speaking this game takes quite a hit, and it would explain why it was panned so badly by magazines at the time, despite it actually being a very competent game. As it was so similar to Street Fighter II Turbo though, and what with the fantastic Street Fighter Alpha on the horizon, there really wasn't any reason for people to even purchase this game at the time. That said, it's a bit of a hidden gem, overlooked for being associated with a much maligned (although actually alright) film but in reality is actually pretty good. A fun playthrough to be sure.
