Hai Friends, Welcome to Bobsbakes. Today's video is a very famous Goan breakfast called Goan Sannas or Manglorean Sannas. Sannas is a very delicious, soft and steamed rice breakfast. It is also known as a evening snack or a dinner recipe. Sannas are spongy steamed savoury rice cake. In Manglore and Goa it is treated as a Christmas Breakfast. It is mostly popular in Catholic religion people. It is a steamed dish. It's main ingredient is raw rice. In traditional way the people use toddy for fermentation. But here we use only yeast for fermentation.Wash the rice and soak it overnight. Next day grind the rice with urad daal, boiled rice, sugar and yeast and water into fine batter. Allow it to ferment for atleast 3 or 4 hours.After 4 hours we can see the batter is rise and bubbly. Now add salt and mix well. Greeze the small katoris and pour the batter into this katoris. Then steam it for 15 minutes with low flame. Our unique break fast is ready to serve. This dish can take together with non vegetarian curry and egg curry. Let us see how to make this unique dish. Ingredients
Raw rice - 2 Cups (പച്ചരി)
Urad daal - 2 tbs ( ഉഴുന്ന്)
Sugar - 2 tbs (പഞ്ചസാര)
Boiled rice - 1/2 Cup (ചോറ്)
Yeast - 1 tsp (യീസ്റ്റ് )
