Before and After - "Amplify" Bodyweight Home Workout
Hi guys
I do bodyweight workouts at home. Today's WOD is
Amplify
For time:
100 squats
10 burpees
50 squats
20 burpees
10 push-ups w/shoulder taps
You can do these on their own, or build them into your main workout such as a warm-up or a finisher.
I workout to keep in shape to do everyday functional activities comfortably, hike or tramp, go mountain biking, do 5 to 10 km run events, play rugby and touch rugby.

However, my aim today was not focused on trying to beat my old score but to perform the push-up correctly.
I didn't realize that I was not performing the push-up correctly until someone on Reddit criticized my technique. Since then I've been working on keeping my body straight including my legs, hip and upper body, pressing my heels back, squeezing my butt and drawing my navel towards the back of my spine, retracting my shoulder blades to push back up and moving my whole body up and down in a straight line.
Although, I didn't beat my old score; I'm much happier with my push-up technique. Still work in progress.
