Crumb quilting is a great way to use up little scraps of fabric that would otherwise be thrown in the trash. A crumb quilt is basically just a quilted piece made out of tiny fabric scraps in any shape or size. You don't need to plan it ahead - in fact it looks better if you don't!
There are lots of ways to make a crumb quilt but this is how I make them!
Start by grabbing two pieces of fabric that line up along one edge.
Sew them together with a narrow seam allowance (right sides together).
Press the seam with a quilt roller or your fingernail.
Grab another piece of fabric that lines up along the edge of your sewn piece.
Sew the pieces right-sides-together and keep going.
When the block gets to a certain size, I like to press it with my iron to keep it looking nice.
