I originally discovered heavy club training to reinforce strength and stability in my shoulder girdle.
Years of heavy pressing movements had created imbalances in my musculature. Clubs became the means of building a three dimensional foundation in my upper body.
Fast forward nearly eight years of club work, and I have graduated to heavier #clubbells as a means of full-body strength and conditioning.
When I think of Clubbell training, “three dimensional” is the phrase that comes to mind.
Along with a potent stimulus of grip strength, my midsection has developed robust resilience in anti-rotation and rotational movement.
I believe that all kettlebell aficionados would benefit from the addition of Clubbell training.
Personally I have noticed that after instituting circular strength movements, I had been extremely locked into the sagittal plane from my previous training.
Restoring my rotational power has helped me to feel immensely more athletic and able to move with greater purpose.
