In this Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 challenge, we depart Christchurch International Airport (NZCH) Runway 20 at dawn and fly south toward one of the most demanding approaches in New Zealand — Queenstown International Airport (NZQN) Runway 05.
This landing is entirely hand-flown in the final stage due to the absence of an Instrument Landing System (ILS) on RWY 05. The approach requires precise terrain awareness, controlled descent management, and disciplined speed control through the surrounding alpine valley.
