Week 6 Wednesday: Resetting the Body for the Back Half of Week 6!
After the intensity of Monday's double workout and 10+ hours spent in a vehicle on Tuesday, today was a mandatory #ActiveRestDay. The goal was simple: move the blood, stretch the muscles, and prepare the mind for Thursday's return to the weights.
🚶♀️ The Warm-Up:
We kicked things off with a #PreWorkoutWalk to get the joints moving before hitting the mat.
🧘 The Slow Salutation Routine:
Tyson and I moved through an 18-pose yoga routine designed for deep stretching and mobility:
• Structure: 2 rounds of a 9-pose flow.
• The Flow:
○ Standing Arms Up Pose
○ Standing Forward Bend Pose
○ High Lunge Pose
○ Plank
○ Up Dog Pose (Thumbnail focus)
○ Downward Facing Dog Pose
○ High Lunge Pose
○ Standing Forward Bend Pose
○ Standing Arms Up Pose
💪 Longevity Insight:
Stiffness is the enemy of progress. Taking the time to perform this "Slow Salutation" helps flush out the soreness from the #HypertrophyPhase and resets the posture after a long day on the road. This is a key part of how we #MeetAgeWithGrace!
