The original release sheet reads: UNITED STATES ORBITS FIRST WEATHER EYE SATELLITE At Cape Canaveral, Florida, a satellite that will keep a watchful weather eye on the earth is shot into orbit without a hitch. It is this nation's sixth satellite and its launching is hailed as the dawn of a new era global weather-wise. AVALANCHE LOOMS OVER SWISS HAMLET: A massive accumulation of rock and ice is inching its way down the mountainside to destroy the village at the foot of the mountain. For days it has been hovering ominously over the Swiss Alpine hamlet which has been evacuated by its inhabitants. Many of them have taken up watch from a nearby Mountain top to witness the dreaded moment that is drawing near. With thaws increasing. SMOG HELMET IS SNUG: A Martian-type head gear startles Londoners. A pretty girl demonstrates and tests the new anti-smog device. A plastic bubble that supplies air-conditioning to the wearer. The inventor was thoughtful in the matter of osculation and perhaps a sip-of-a-sodas Made room for both.... AQUA-KITING: Water-skiers ever alert for new twists go airborne in the world's very first aqua-kite contest. As long as they're aloft everything's peachy- but awkward spills are sloppy and splashy. HOWLS AND HIGHLIGHTS in the New York Golden Gloves finals. The largest and testiest crowd in 9 years turns out to cheer the champions of tomorrow in a series that crackled with spirit and gumption. TYLER DRIVES U.S. SLED TO WORLD TITLE: At St. Moritz, Switzerland, the climax of the world's bobsled championship. It's Art Tyler's cool precision driving in a tricky and treacherous race that brings the U.S.A. its first 4-man bobsled championship crown since 1953. Italy's sled was second. West Germany's entry came in third.
