What's the fastest way to get to the University of Melbourne? Connecting shuttle buses! These are the 401, the most frequent bus in Melbourne, running from North Melbourne Station to the University via Royal Melbourne Hospital, and back. The 403 from Footscray Station to the University on the same alignment as the 401 from Dryburgh St to the University. And the 202, a limited stops service from the University to Yarra Bend Park in Kew. And these services do help with getting to this prestigious university quickly. Please note that all three bus routes featured in this video are no longer in operation. They were scrapped in favour of a new bus route called the 241 North Melbourne - Yarra Bend following the 'Big Switch' on 1st February 2026.
This video was uploaded the same day as the 'Big Switch'.
401 and 403 filmed on 4th November 2025.
202 filmed on 13th November 2025.
