🔎THE MYSTERIOUS MARTYR⚔️St. Phanourios the Great Martyr, Apolytikion, Απολυτίκιο Αγ. Φανουρίου.

Описание: On the 27th of August, we celebrate the great saint and martyr Phanourios. He is a mysterious "star" in the Church of Christ, as details of his life were lost and cannot be known fully.

He was certainly a great martyr who underwent many horrendous torments and trials, probably at the hands of the Ottomans, on the island of Rhodes. His icon depicting his martyrdom was miraculously found long after his martyrdom, under the ruins of his Church in Rhodes.

This is how the saint revealed himself to us in our times, so that God can be glorified through him and that we may ask his assistance.

St. Phanourios is especially entreated to reveal hidden spiritual matters and lost physical belongings. Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us, Amen.

Like a star you rose up within the Church of Christ,
And shone down on all of us, miraculously shown, O glorious Phanourios;
And now to those praising, your struggles, O Martyr,
You grant by your wonders, salvific grace
Interceding with the Lord, on behalf of our souls.
