Описание: Tomorrow, the 2nd Sunday of Triodion, we celebrate the parable of the Prodigal Son told by the Lord against the religious leaders who tested Him asking if it is lawful to heal on the Sabbath (Luke 15:11-32). His answer is also that to the problem of the consequences of sin. After we departed from Heaven and became like animals after the desires of the flesh, our loving Father came to restore us with the initial glory that we were created with, according to His "likeness" (Gen. 1:26) and return us to our true home. Good father, I have distanced myself from You.
Do not abandon me, nor make me appear as unworthy, of Your Kingdom.
The foe, the all-evil one, has stripped me bare, and taken my riches.
The gifts of my soul, I squandered recklessly.
So, rising up and returning to you I cry out:
“Make me like one of your hired servants”,
Who for me, on the cross, stretched out your blameless hands,
so that, from the fearsome beast, you may snatch me back,
And in the first garment, reclothe me,
as the only great in mercy.
