Join us on our annual September adventure as we pedal one of the most spectacular bike trails in the Pacific Northwest and kick back in the charming mountain town of Wallace, Idaho. We start our day early at the Route of the Hiawatha — a 15‑mile downhill ride full of 10 tunnels, 7 sky‑high trestles, and jaw‑dropping scenery.
After the ride we roll into Wallace, staying at the Stardust Motel, wandering through the walkable historic downtown, and refueling with great meals. Our go‑to breakfast spot is the Brooks Restaurant, I always get the Brooks Bowl, and dinner at the City Limits Pub & Grill wraps up the evening. We even squeeze in a fun detour into Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for a visit to Trader Joe’s.
Whether you’re a seasoned biker or just love scenic small‑town charm, this trip has a little bit of everything: mountain air, historic streets, friend time, and simple joys.
