This annual report has long served as a reminder of Medicare’s financial challenges. If the mismatch between Medicare spending and revenue continues, the consequences for millions of beneficiaries will be dire.

Stronger economic growth and full employment can delay — but not eliminate — the impending fiscal crisis. Policies dealing with the rising cost of care, including health care delivery reforms, are needed.

Please join AEI as the chief actuary for Medicare summarizes the report. A panel of experts will then discuss the report’s implications for potential policy actions and how those actions could affect the entire health system.
