This workshop hosted by Fulbright advisor Su-Ling Huang explores how scaffolding strategies can support diverse learners in EMI classrooms. The speaker encourages teachers to shift from “lesson planners” to “lesson designers,” anticipating students’ language, content, and cultural challenges and building supportive learning environments. Four types of scaffolding: linguistic, cognitive, metacognitive, and socio-emotional, are introduced, with hands-on activities to help participants apply theory to practice.
