Tom Benson is CEO and Founder of Mitrix. He is a serial entrepreneur and scientist who founded 4 successful software, hardware, and science startups including Timepoint Corporation, Readybot, and Scott Systems. He has deep experience in acquisitions, negotiations, finance, project management, and marketing with a deep tech focus.
He was also a manager at the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) facility at Stanford Linear Accelerator National Laboratory, where he gained interest in the imaging of mitochondria via x-ray crystallography and Cryo-EM. This work led him to explore the recent fundamental changes in scientific understanding of cellular energetics and mitochondrial systems of the body.
