Описание: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has issued a proposal to delist the Ivory-billed Woodpecker from the Endangered Species list due to extinction. Both men are uniquely poised to give well-informed, boots-on-the-ground perspectives regarding the status of the Ivorybill and the processes laid out in the Endangered Species Act. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 is Director Emeritus of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Among his many accomplishments, he is widely known for leading the successful 2004-2005 Ivorybill search in Arkansas. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝗲 has enjoyed a rewarding career, ranging from academia to working for the federal government. Some of his past positions include: Assistant Director of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Endangered Species Specialist with the USFWS, and Science Advisor to the Secretary of Interior.
