We are getting back into the swing of things around here with homeschool lessons starting this week. I am excited to be implementing a Simply Charlotte Mason curriculum this year and we are starting off fairly light as I need a little bit of adjustment time to get familiar with all the curriculum and dial-in just where each of my kids will require my assistance. I anticipate adjustments will need to be made during the first several weeks until we eventually fall into a nice daily rhythm. So as of now, a typical morning this week is breakfast at 8:30 and school starting at 9am. We begin with Bible and a short daily devotion, then onto enrichment subjects. Today we learned a new hymn and read "Summer Sun" by Robert Louis Stevenson. Then we moved onto individual lessons. My goal this week is to ease everyone into their subjects and for them to get a confident handle on how their weekly lessons will flow. After a lovely summer break, it feels GOOD to be getting back into a nice productive pace again!
