Come along with me for a simple morning in the life of a homeschool mom of three boys (and our first girl on the way!). Our mornings start early because we like to get as much done as possible before heading out the door for preschool — dishes finished, chickens fed, a load of laundry going, and everyone dressed and ready for the day.
It’s not always convenient, but after moving frequently with the military we felt it was wise to give our son some consistency and community by enrolling him in preschool — and he genuinely wanted to go. So for this season, preschool comes first, and then we begin our homeschool rhythms afterward. I’m also already homeschooling my kindergartener at home, and he attends a co-op once a week, which has been such a sweet balance for us.
These mornings aren’t perfect or polished — just ordinary, full, and meaningful. I love sharing these small homemaking rhythms because they remind me that faithfulness in the everyday matters. Whether you homeschool, stay home with littles, or just enjoy peaceful lifestyle content, I hope this encourages you.
