What are the treatment options for endometriosis?

Now once you diagnose Endometriosis we can categorise the treatment of endometriosis depending upon the age of the patient, her main symptoms, her desire for having another pregnancy, her main symptoms, what is causing her discomfort because of endometriosis.
Usually you get endometriosis in young patients, those who are willing to get pregnant. These are mainly infertility patients.
In those cases our main concern in to treat her endometriosis so that we can increase her chance of having a pregnancy.
In these cases depending upon the clinical finding, if she has got a larger endometrioma, surgical treatment is the option. You have to remove the endometriosis, you have to cauterize or ablation of the old endometrial deposits because endometriosis associated additions of the ovary tubes etc. will need to be surgically released which will enhance the chance of having a pregnancy.
If the patients main concern is not infertility but it is only pain. Management of pain is done by giving analgesics like nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs. The next is the hormones, you can combine or contrast atipus or you can have progestin hormones or the other option is to give the DNRHNLO etc for the treatment of endometriosis pain.
And if the patient doesn't want to have another pregnancy, in those cases depending upon the extent of endometriosis we can opt for a hysterectomy and remove both tubes and ovaries.
