Make an appointment with yourself for some writing time at your local library.
There will always be a desk or table for you.
You can do some research or give yourself the gift of dedicated reading time.
Here I am reading through some finished and printed first-draft chapters.
In a session such as this I am looking for obvious errors, but also getting a sense of what is missing, of how I might add new sentences to better connect one paragraph with the one before it.
I enjoy giving myself library time. Being able to step away from the house allows me a fresh perspective, that sense of my work existing for itself.
The background of other people chatting or whispering, the conversation between librarian and a reader seeking help with the public computers, all of this is part of visiting the library.
