The Uttar Pradesh Assembly witnessed dramatic scenes on Wednesday evening during the ongoing Budget Session. High drama erupted when Fisheries Minister Sanjay Nishad and Samajwadi Party (SP) MLAs engaged in a heated confrontation that nearly turned into a physical scuffle.
The tension peaked when SP MLAs reached the well of the house in protest and reportedly snatched papers from the Minister’s hand. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, termed the incident an "attack on a minister" and lodged a formal complaint with the Chair.
