While the work continued, we moved to the kitchen to prepare a soft layered chapati and green grams (ndengu) stew — a comforting, traditional African meal that everyone in the family enjoys. 🍲🔥

The chapatis turned out perfectly flaky, soft, and golden, while the green grams stew, slow-cooked with tomatoes, onions, and fresh herbs, filled the air with a rich aroma. When the paint dried, we all sat together — family, workers, and neighbors — sharing laughter, food, and gratitude. 🌿✨
