“Layunin kong matapos ang pamamahagi ng lahat ng lupang saklaw ng [Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program] bago matapos ang aking termino… Ang pamimigay ng titulo sa ating mga magsasaka ay unang hakbang lamang sa pagkamit ng kanilang kalayaan sa kahirapan,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said, vowing to provide farmers with better programs and services as the Administration reaffirms its commitment to further improve the agricultural sector in the country.

The President made these remarks as he led the distribution of over 2,500 land e-titles to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from different parts of the Davao Region, where he emphasized the need to prioritize the welfare of Filipino farmers, considered one of the drivers of a thriving economy.

“Ang mahigit na dalawang libong titulo na ipamamahagi natin ngayon dito sa Davao ay magandang simula para sa 2024… Umaasa ako na dadami o dodoble pa ito sa taong 2024,” he said.

The distribution of the e-titles is part of the Department of Agrarian Reform’s (DAR) Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project, which aims to improve land tenure security and strengthen the property rights of ARBs. This is also anchored in the New Agrarian Emancipation Act, signed by President Marcos Jr. last year.

“Dahil sa batas na ito, ang pagkakautang ng mahigit 600,000 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries ay hindi na sisingilin pa ng pamahalaan… Ipagpapatuloy ko at higit na pagbubutihin ang tunay na repormang agraryo,” the President conveyed.

The Chief Executive also underscored that assistance to farmers is not just limited to distributing land titles. He promised to continuously provide farmers with the right support through the improvement of agricultural infrastructures, machineries and farm-to-market roads.

“Inaanyayahan ko po ang lahat na magtulungan sa pagtataguyod ng kapakanan ng ating mga magsasaka. Sama-sama at kapit-bisig po tayo sa pagpapayabong ng agrikultura ng bansa at sa pagkamit ng mas masaganang bukas para sa lahat ng Pilipino,” President Marcos Jr. concluded.
