تُمثّل المجموعة الفنية الخاصة بالباحث والأكاديمي جورج الأعمى جزءًا من مشروع مستمر لإعادة الأعمال التراثية والفنية الفلسطينية إلى موطنها، وبالتالي، استعادة الحق في السردية الفلسطينية وتاريخها عبر مئات السنين، حيث أصبح جورج، المتخصص أكاديميًا في التراث المسيحي والإسلامي، أحد أبرز مقتني الأعمال الفنية ومن أكثرهم إلمامًا بالتفاصيل والأبعاد التاريخية والسياسية والفنية للقطع والأعمال والمطرّزات والملبوسات الفلسطينية التراثية.

يُركّز اللقاء على رحلة جورج في تجميع واستعادة الأعمال الفنية والتراثية الفلسطينية، كما يستعرض اللقاء مجموعة من أبرز مقتنيات مجموعته الخاصة وتفاصيل الحصول عليها والبحث عنها على مدار السنوات الماضية.

يُعقد اللقاء باللغة العربية.

جورج الأعمى هو باحث وأكاديمي ومقتنٍ في مجال التراث والفن الفلسطيني، وهو مؤسس مركز دار الصبّاغ لأبحاث ودراسات المغتربين، ومدير وحدة الثقافة في مركز حفظ التراث الثقافي، وعضو اللجنة العلمية لمتاحف حراسة الأراضي المقدسة، ومستشار مجموعة بنك فلسطين، كما يُحاضر في جامعتي دار الكلمة وبيت لحم، ويحمل منصب القنصل الفخري لجمهورية التشيلي لدى دولة فلسطين.

As an expert in Christian and Islamic heritage, George has accumulated a deep knowledge of the historical, political, and artistic significance of his works and textiles; providing unique insights into their place in Palestinian history and culture.

In this event, George will reflect on his journey in collecting and preserving Palestinian art and heritage. The event will feature key pieces from his private collection, delving into the stories behind their acquisition and the extensive research that has guided this endeavour over the years.
