Over 400 Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs) in Ghana's north-west are transforming the lives of smallholder rural farmer households. The VSLAs are facilitating easy and affordable access to finance for at least 10,000 farmers, most of whom are women, with the resources to procure farm tools, pay for mechanization services, and acquire quality inputs that will ultimately improve their yields and increase income generation.
This video sheds light on the significant impact that the VSLAs have had on the lives of farmers across the 14 operational regions of the Market-Oriented Agricultural Programme (MOAP-NW), a project funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
