Elektroshoku është një nga kërcënimet kryesore ndaj popullatave të shpendëve shtegtarë, duke përfshirë kalin e qyqes (Neophron percnopterus), lejlekun (Ciconia ciconia), e shumë lloje të tjerë të rrezikuar.
Pas një studimi të detajuar të linjave elektrike në Luginën e Drinos, ekipi i #PPNEA, së bashku me OST/OSHEE, kanë izoluar deri më tani mbi 30 shtylla me rrezikshmëri të lartë, duke shmangur rastet e elektroshokut në këtë zonë tejet të rëndësishme për shpendët.

Preventing bird electrocution on power infrastructure
Electrocution represents one of the most enduring threats to migratory birds, including the Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus), white stork (Ciconia ciconia), as well as many other endangered species.
After a detailed assessment of power lines at the Drino Valley, the conservation team of #PPNEA together with OST/OSHEE have isolated until now more than 30 dangerous pylons, helping to mitigate the cases of bird electrocution at this important bird area.
