Sibling Rivalry - Younger Eaglet Grabs Fish - Bonked Down - March 21 2020 - Dale Hollow Bald Eagles

Описание: Sibling rivalry has been occurring at this nest; the oldest eaglet D10 has dominated all the feedings today and every time the younger eaglet D11 tries to eat the oldest bonks him down. D11 has not eaten today and is hungry; this footage shows the submissive response from the Lil One as he struggles to get fed. D11 is hungry and is peeping and parent Obey responds offers the sweet Lil One some fish but D11 turns away likely scared to reach for the fish. Finally D11 grabs a big piece of fish from Obey; D11 swallows part of the fish and drops some too. Obey tries to pick the fish up and offer it again while the older eaglet D10 bonks the younger one down again. Sibling rivalry happens at many nests; it usually resolves after a few days with an abduance of food, frequent feedings and as the eaglets grow closer in size. All of us watching the eagle family is praying that the sibling rivalry settles down ... Note: D11 the younger eaglet does get a beautiful one on one feeding about an hour later see my video footage that follows this one.
