A was the Range, B were the people getting caught in the breakout, C was the ultimate drive lower. My edge is trading when emotions are ruling people's decisions and this is from a retail perspective. When I see these kind of things - say in swing trading - a great example from swing trading would be earnings chugging along nicely and then halting and getting into some kind of problem. If you're trading when you have the best chance of success, chances are that during those times you will make the most money. Also, you are not wasting money by taking losing trades on trades where you don't have the edge.
