Some traders just skip from market to market and hop from one system to another without giving the system time to work. Give it a change.
The next tip is to experiment with a demo account. Third is daily profit targets and this applies more to day traders - and be careful here because you can't squeeze profits from a quiet market; you can't force profits from a market that isn't moving. By all means have goals and targets but be careful about putting monetary goals on short timeframes. Remember the market doesn't care about you - it will go where it wants to go.
Another tip to is to treat yourself once in a while. Treat yourself for trading well and doing the right things.
Another tip is to be quick to adapt. Your job as a trader is to adapt to changing market conditions and switch methods when necessary.
Lastly expect setbacks. When things aren't working that's when you have to dial things back a notch - reduce trade sizes and limit the damage. Don't keep hammering with a strategy that isn't working
